Sometimes we all make the mistake of focusing too much on what to wear at the top, like for instance the jeans or a skirt. Nothing wrong with that, but we have got to also think deep about how to style the bottom. This season, when you are thinking of your top wear, consider velvet. It’s hot and trending now, so you will be showing the latest fashion. I have a lot of velvet bottoms, leggings and pants in my wardrobe. But I am always trying to find new ways of styling them.
Here are some ways you can wear velvet leggings and pants, perhaps in a different way. I would urge you all to keep experimenting. There are so many styling options.
Long Jacket and Red Velvet Pant
This is pure class if you ask me. You will agree that the red velvet pant is going extremely well with the long jacket. Wear a white shirt or top below your jacket. This looks formal, and yet is quirky – just perfect. You can wear a nude pump with this.
Maroon Pant with Check Sweater
Black and white checks are a classic, even stripes look good. They are a fashion staple. Checks and stripes both look good on sweaters. Wear such a sweater with a maroon velvet legging or pant. Black glares and few attractive accessories might just do wonders. Double thumbs up to this outfit from me.
The Basic Fall Look
You don’t need anything if you have a wine colored velvet pant, a leather jacket and a white t-shirt. You can wear this dress any day as it can be your perfect fall look. Go for black basic boots and a heavy neckpiece to add more funkiness.
The Long Overcoat and Velvet Pants Look
I have already mentioned the checked sweater and maroon pant above. This outfit is an extension of that. Wear it in another way by adding a gray overcoat for layering. Give this a try. You can take out the overcoat anytime you want.
The Classic Dapper Look
This isn’t exactly office dressing. But you can still wear this to work if casual dressing is allowed, and perhaps on Fridays at most other places. Office wear doesn’t have to be boring always. Create a different look by picking up a velvet blazer and pant. You will appear smart, trendy, and chic. Pump heels may look good with this.
Palazzo Velvet Pant
A white bodysuit with palazzo velvet pant of any color is a great combination. It will be subtle and it will make you stand out. You can call this as the “keep it simple” look. Opt for this if you do not want to dress up.
The Comfy and Casual Look
I would any day go for this attire if I am travelling. A brown velvet loose pant and a white sweater are just perfect for those long journeys. I will appear stylish and stay comfortable.
Velvet Flare Pants and Lace Top Combo
A purple lace top looks gorgeous and a black velvet flare pant adds extra oomph. Do carry a white sling and wear your stilettos. Wear this outfit when you have to go out for a dinner or a casual cocktail party.
