Celebrity Velvet Trend

Celebrities often give us fashion goals. We follow what they do, right from what they wear to how they walk. In fact, I personally am often inspired by many celebrities, and loved how Elizabeth Olsen once nailed the velvet wine dress look. It looked absolutely gorgeous on her. I have found many actors who have stood out in their velvet outfits. Here are some of them.

Inspired by Lily, Alexa, Kylie and the others, you can look like a celebrity too, showing off your velvet fashion look. I buy my velvet fabric from Tissura where I can choose from a wide range of the best materials.

The Bordeaux velvet dress of Olsen was really chic and luxurious. I suggest you take her style and pair it with classic black pumps.

Hot Velvet Trends For 2018

The velvet fabric has certainly come a long way since it was first created sometime in the 3rd century BC in ancient China. From China, it gradually spread into other areas, and eventually became popular in Europe during the Renaissance time. Italy used to be the top country for velvet back then. Intricate patterns and designs of the fabric were popular with the nobility.

Velvet has seen changes in fortune when it comes to fashion. Head-to-toe velvet jumpsuits and formfitting dresses were huge in the 1970s. But later, velvet lost much of its popularity. Of course, in recent years, velvet has made a huge comeback.

Bold colors, for instance, are doing well in 2017/2018. Black velvet fabric is still a timeless classic, but now many fashionistas are opting to experiment with all new colors in velvet, such as red, yellow, pink, violet, green, golden, and even blue. Jewel tones are doing well too.

Another new thing this time is velvet accessories. We are increasing seeing a lot of velvet clutches and handbags that are looking impressive. So it’s not just about velvet dressing anymore and rightly so too!
